For the fifth year in a row, Chappell Smith & Arden, P.A. challenged employees and other law firms in the Columbia and Greenville areas to participate in the CSA Christmas Challenge. From November 1st through December 1st, we collected food and other essentials for Harvest Hope and new, unopened toys for Toys for Tots.
Harvest Hope is South Carolina’s largest food bank and their mission is to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in the state of South Carolina. With locations in the Upstate, Midlands and Pee Dee of South Carolina, they provide an average of 20 million meals to those in need throughout the year. The holidays can be a difficult time for so many, so our goal was to collect non-perishable food items, paper products, baby products, etc. so that Harvest Hope can continue their great work within our state.
The mission of Toys for Tots is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas – they are all about making Christmas sparkle for those in need! Our goal this year was to fill our toy donation boxes completely full with donations so that children in the Columbia and Greenville areas have a magical Christmas.
We are so thankful for everyone who donated to Harvest Hope or Toys for Tots this year. These donations mean the world to those in need this holiday season and we could not do it without all of your support!
