An elderly pedestrian became fatally struck after he entered a crosswalk in Sumter, South Carolina. The pedestrian accident occurred on Friday evening around 6:30 pm when an SUV hit him on a crosswalk on Calhoun Street. After receiving medical treatment at the Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, he succumbed to his fatal injuries.
