Jacob Born of Chappell Smith & Arden, P.A. has been appointed to the Richland County Recreation Foundation Board.

“We are very excited to have Jacob join the RCRF Board. His enthusiasm is contagious and he understands our mission to make our community a healthy, fun place to live,” said Andrea C. Fripp, Richland County Recreation Foundation Board Executive Director.

Born graduated from the University of South Carolina and the Charleston School of Law. He is a native of Blythewood, South Carolina. His law practice includes personal injury, automobile accidents, premises liability, product defect litigation, trucking litigation and nursing home litigation cases. He is a member of the American Bar Association, South Carolina Bar, South Carolina Association for Justice and the Richland County Bar Association.

The Richland County Recreation Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, non-profit organization. Since its establishment in 2003, the Foundation has functioned as the charitable arm of the agency, raising funds to support programming, special services and facilities provided by the Richland County Recreation Commission. They also raise awareness of the benefits of exercise, a healthy lifestyle, promote neighborhood parks, recreation programs and community events throughout the county.
