Around 5:37 am, a 54-year-old man was turning his car onto Atomic Road from Dragstrip Road when an SUV struck the driver’s side of his vehicle. The driver of the car succumbed to his fatal injuries at the scene of the accident while the 18-year-old man from Jackson, South Carolina, who was driving the SUV, and his female passenger were taken to the Augusta Hospital for treatment of their personal injuries.
